(Memorial of Martha, Mary, & Lazarus of Bethany)

Rather than focusing on the readings about Jesus raising Lazarus from the tomb, today I bring you the scene from when Jesus and His disciples visited the home of Lazarus, Martha and Mary as portrayed in The Chosen series. Do you watch,  as it is a good show.  Hard to find good shows on television these days.

Remember the words of Jesus, "One Thing is Necessary" which comes from this scene in Scripture - Martha was anxious about  many things as she served her guests, but Mary chose the better part: to sit at the feet of Jesus and learn from Him.

We, too, need to choose this "one thing necessary" and to sit each day in silent mental prayer and learn from Jesus, Himself.
